This commemorative original artwork by artist Chris LaPorte was commissioned by Friends of the Musical Fountain to mark the 60th anniversary of the Grand Haven Musical Fountain. Chris is known for his “monumental” works, primarily pencil sketches like “Cavalry” (measuring 8 ft. by 28 ft.), which was an ArtPrize® Grand Prize Winner. His latest original work, “Grand Haven Musical Fountain - Past & Present” (measuring 4 ft. by 8 ft.), is also a pencil sketch, specifically created to capture the history of the fountain, primarily in black & white with the Musical Fountain in color.
